| The music contained in this soundtrack consists of two parts: Firstly, the Handel aria performed by Tuva Semmingsen, recorded in Kastelskirken in Copenhagen. Secondly, the hybrid between sound design and score devised by Lars von Trier and Kristian Eidnes. Lars von Trier decided early in the process that all score music in the movie should be produced solely by sounds emanating from natural materials, e.g. stone against stone, blowing in leafs, scratching against wood, horses hair against wood, swallowed microphone recording the internal human body, human voices and much more. No conventional man made instrument has been applied. Everything has been sampled and subsequently digitally arranged. | ||
